Floodlight cam losing power. Not enough power error

Adapo

Three weeks ago Google nest  floodlight cam started sending messages not enough power. Icamera finally died.

It is plugged in and has enough WiFi. flood lite tests out fine. Has electricity. Camera shows it is fine and plugged in.
Bought a new camera. Couldn’t set it up until I did factory reset. Same message.

Floodlight is fine and hard wired.
Contacted google  support - no help. I saw others having this problem. Any ideas?

I'm not an electrician, but have you had someone check the electrical current level that your floodlight camera is receiving? It seems pretty odd to be getting an insufficient power message on two different cameras at the same location.

the floodlight  and wiring has working power.
it’s the camera reporting there is insufficient power. It’s just ridiculous at this point. Google products are really inferior and I wish I invested in something more reliable

Hi Adapo,

Thanks for posting in the community!

I'm so sorry to hear that two of your Nest Cams with Floodlight are displaying "not enough power" messages and about the experience you had with our products. I completely understand that sometimes it can be frustrating when you try to use a device and it does not work as you expected. No worries; I'm here to help!

As [user] mentioned, it is important that a specialist check that the device is getting sufficient power to provide it (100-240V AC, 50/60Hz). Without adequate power, the Nest Cam with Floodlight won't work as you expected.

Please have an electrician verify the power supply. If this situation persists after that, we can explore further troubleshooting steps.

In the meantime, if you have more questions for me, feel free to reply to this post. I'll be happy to assist further!

Best regards,

Nery.
