The only thing Google Nest has offered in the 6 years we've been customers is a 30-day free Nest Aware subscription when you first purchase a camera or doorbell. After that, you have to purchase a Nest Aware or Nest Aware Plus subscription.
Without a subscription, with 2nd gen cameras and doorbells, you get free event video history for events that occurred in the most recent 3 hours. With 1st gen cameras and doorbells, you get free photo snapshots for events that occurred in the most recent 3 hours.
