Front and rear doorbells connected to 2 chimes

I have a front and rear door each with a doorbell connected to 2 chimes in my house.  One in the basement and one upstairs.  Both ring when you ring either door.

How do I hook up a 2nd generation wired nest to the front door so that it will still ring and maintain the back normal doorbell as well?

It depends on exactly how your two doorbell chimes are wired together. Are they, for example, wired in parallel or serially?

The post below has Google Nest's only diagrams for the 2nd gen doorbell, and they only show wiring at the doorbell chime, which does not address the situation where there is other wiring tying the two chimes together. The second diagram, "Two Nest doorbells, two chimes", is obviously titled incorrectly. It should say "Two Nest doorbells, one chime", but Google Nest won't correct it.

Hello everyone,

@Stretch3825, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. You may visit the link shared above and check the requirements for installing a 2nd gen Nest Doorbell. You may also check the third diagram for One Nest Doorbell, one standard doorbell and one chime.

Let us know how it goes.

I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.

Regards,

Emerson
