GOOGLE NEST FAULTS AND FORUM LOGIN ISSUES

Nest camera NOT easy for the average person. Cameras offline issues. When changing wifi, there is no option to change it in settings.  Factory reset recommended whenever a problem and requires a high tech person to set up the camera again. Terrible experiences using these cameras. NO GOOGLE SUPPORT. I will be returning my Google nest/spotlight camera. It’s  a burden for paying $200 for fixing.
Also wanted to respond to my existing account on this forum and it did not recognize me as a user and made me create a new profile and lost my answers to my concerns. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME HERE.

I agree with you 100%.  It is beyond frustrating that Google keeps doing things to the nest camera products that most people don't care about when so many issues (like what you outlined) have been badly needing improving for years.  I feel badly for people buying this product because they have no idea what a headache it is going to become.   Not to mention the cameras are so vary out of date compared to other competitors.

Hello CatherineHay,

Thanks for posting here in the community forum. I understand the situation that you were facing with the Nest camera; therefore, let us know how we can improve your experience by sending feedback; this information will be important to implement in our service.

Best regards,

Daniel

When the temperature rises to zero then I’ll take the camera down and try resetting it myself. At least my Wi-Fi should be able to be found because that has not been changed since the last time my nest camera installed.

Hi CatherineHay,

Thank you so much for posting. I understand that you want to perform a reset; I suggest following the steps and information included in this article: Restart or factory reset Nest camera or doorbell

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Daniel

The problem is I will need a technical person to bring their ladder , go up, and bring it down. I live in a low rise bungalow and my step ladder does not allow me to bring the camera down to factory reset. Last fall I  paid $200 for a technician to come and set up my wifi to work with it. Now I have to pay another $200 to reset my camera? This is ludicrous. Who can bring this camera down for me at a reasonable cost if any cost at all.
