My GN Doorbell (Battery) Camera will not charge properly.
This just stated. The camera is about a year old. It is not too cold outside. It never gets wet. When mounted it still works fine.
i have traded out all the charging cords and pucks for ones I know work. I have tried different outlets.
I even tried rebooting (NOT “Factory” Resetting) it.
When I plug into power, in the past it would make a sound to signal it is charging AND the GHApp would show charging and estimated time to charge (which was always within stated parameters) … BUT NOW there is no sound when inplug into power and the GHApp shows “unmounted”.
It DOES charge, but with glacial slowness … 5 hours resulted in 10% charge.
Maybe Google is just trying to discourage Apple users. I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max and an iPad which are both up to date with iOS 18.1.

I have the same problem. Same charger used. I live in California. Very nice climate. Not too cold or hot. Charging now takes more than 24 hrs and it’s not even full. It used to take just hours. Can the battery be replaced?

I fixed it. First you have to let it do its glacial charging long enough that it has enough battery power to be able to reset itself. I started at 5:56 a.m. when it was at 16%, and then from there:
7:00 am. 18%
7:27 am. 19%
11:04 am. 25%
11:54 am. 26%
12:56 pm. 28%
Reset Successful
2:36 pm. 63%
And, after this it took 2 hours (or about the proper speed) to charge up to 100%.
There is a reset hole JUST BELOW THE CHARGING PORT. So, leaving it plugged in, get a small paper clip ... I used one of my wife's safety pins, and follow the directions given by Google ... hold the reset button down for at least 5 (five) seconds. NOTE this is NOT a 'factor reset', which would destroy all your settings. This is basically just rebooting the device.
