Google Doorbell

Why is it after installing a Google doorbell to an hardwire transformer, does customer have to keep charging it?

I'm having the same problem. My doorbell was recently hardwired and the battery has been draining. It's only been a few days and it's almost at zero. 

Check the voltage at the doorbell to see if you’re getting between 16-24 volts AC. You need a multimeter to check.

Thanks for reaching out. You don't need to charge the Nest Doorbell  (battery) if it's wired to a transformer. You can check this article on how to Check Nest doorbell compatibility for voltage requirement.
