Google Floodlight not turning on automatically

My floodlight is not automatically activating with motion. Yes, I have changed the settings to respond (turn on) with hight sensitivity, medium, and low. None turn on the camera. I can activate the camera  (on and off) manually from the Google Home app, and adjust the light sensitivity. Both of those functions work. The security camera also functions appropriately.  However, the motion detector is not responding.  Please help.

Resolved the issue. Spoke to a Google representative today through chat. Had me to reset the camera. The camera that is included with the floodlight is a battery camera with a small pin size reset button on the back of the camera. Prior to, I actually removed the device and added back, then subsequently completed the reset. It was still daylight and the floodlight was unresponsive at that time. However, when I tested this evening it has correctly functioned . Uncertain what of the two trouble shoots (or both maybe) account for the fix, but the floodlight now activates with motion and when I look at the live view.

I'm not trying to insult your intelligence, but you are testing it at night right? It will not come on in the daylight if there is motion because of the daylight sensor. Just a thought.

Yes, I'm testing at night. Interestingly, I unplugged the power cord from the floodlight to the camera and plugged it back in, and it initially worked (turned on with motion), spotting and activating for two cycles, but then discontinued thereafter. The unit was installed by a professional electrician and security installer, so I doubt there's an issue with the wiring, plus every other function works appropriate and consistently. Perhaps I'll try to remove the device and reinstall it.
