Google Home Cameras works with works with Closeli

I have 3 cameras.  All generic, work fine with there app.  I added them to Google Home, linked via Works with Google, Closeli. From directions.  Home See's them, but can display video?  Stumped!

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To know more about this issue, I’d like to confirm, where are you able to see the Works with Nest badge on the packaging of your Closeli camera? Are you trying to see the live view from the Google Home app or from the Closeli app? Have you tried using a different mobile phone? Try using the https://goo.gle/2UZL8VI and sign in your same email and check if you can access your Closeli camera. Looking forward to your response.

I'm trying with Google Home App and with Google Nest Hub and I can't, but I can with the Closeli app.

I’m sorry to hear you're having trouble with this. I know how it feels when something isn’t working the way it should, and we appreciate your reports here in the Community.

 

Let's try the troubleshooting steps below.

 

  1. Make sure your Closeli devices are powered on.
  2. Open the Google Home app.
  3. Tap Settings > Works with Google.
  4. Under Linked services, tap the devices you want to disconnect, then select Unlink account.
  5. Tap Unlink to confirm your choice.
  6. Tap Devices > Add > Works with Google.
  7. Select Closeli from the device maker list.
  8. To complete the setup, follow the in-app steps.

Hi Lance, thanks for your response. I already did it several times, in fact I'm using Google Home long time ago and I've several third part devices. The thing is that I can see the cameras in the devices menu but I can't view display video. Same behavior from Google Home and Google Nest Hub.

I've no problems if I use the Closeli app to display video.

Hello ljleonardo,

 

Thanks for getting back to me. Please try the additional steps below:

 

1. Reboot Google Home.

 

From the speaker or display: (This is the preferred method)

 

  • Disconnect the power cable from the speaker or display.
  • Wait a few seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cable back into the speaker or display.

From the Google Home app:

 

  • At the home page, select the speaker or display.
    Note: Make sure to choose the correct home.
  • At the top right, open Settings tap more More Reboot.
  • Confirm the reboot by tapping OK.

2. Reboot Wi-Fi router.

 

  • Unplug the router from the power source for about 30 seconds and then plug the power source back into the router.
  • Wait for the router to finish rebooting (normally takes about 1 to 2 minutes.)

3. Once everything is back up and running, Use the command: "Okay Google, sync my devices."
