Hi All,
I have a battery powered nest cam (2nd generation: the one that can only be used with home and not the perfect NEST app). We have it plugged into an outdoor outlet and that keeps it powered. Occasionally we have guests at our rental who unplug it, thinking that it turns the power off to the camera, but it is on a battery. We don't actively monitor these camera's, they're only used in cases like neighbor noise complaints, property theft, and etc. I was wondering if there is an alert that can be set up in the home app that will tell me when it is unplugged and goes into battery usage mode? (The camera doesn't face the direction of the plug). I already know that it'll alert you when it goes offline due to wifi or if the battery gets low. Thanks.

There is no such alert. (We have had a battery camera for 23 months, plugged in.)
However, if you visit your battery camera in the Google Home app, a battery icon now displays in the upper right corner and the battery percentage displays below the screen shot if the camera is unplugged temporarily. These features are new.
