Google Home app isn’t showing Nest Cam (battery) event / detection notification options

Guys, some advice please or better, a solution for the following, as after researching this widely, I haven't been able to resolve this yet: So about half a year ago I've installed the Nest Doorbell Wired and all of its features are available in the Google Home app. So far so good.
A few days ago I bought and installed the Nest Cam (Outdoor / Indoor on battery) outside and so far the camera itself works really OK.
However, in the Google Home app both on Android and iOS (Under the device's ''Settings"-> "Notifications") selecting 'event and zones settings' and having created a detection zone, all that zone's event detection notification features / options are NOT listed/visible. Strange, as they ARE listed for the Doorbell's detection zone (!?)
On top of that, in this menu, under "Zones" it says "Your notifications: Off" and when I try to change that setting to "On" it reroutes me to the detection zone creation/modification area, where under the "Zone colour" section the option "Your notifications in this zone" is visible. When I try to 'Choose which events you want to be notified about in this zone', no menu is opened.
Also in the submenu on 'Familiar Face detection', ONLY my Doorbell is listed there, the Nest Cam isn't. Whilst the Nest Cam IS listed and accessible in the 'Devices' menu.
I already reset and reconfigured the camera, sadly to no avail... Also: I've purchased a year's basic Nest Aware subscription (the one with "30-day event video history") and testing that with my Doorbell event recordings, that really works out well too. So I'm out of options and hope someone out there can provide me with the solution.

We have had a battery camera for 2-1/2 years. If options that should be there are not, and if you've already factory reset your camera, perhaps it's time to contact Support about a replacement.

If you go to your camera in the Google Home app and go to Settings | Events | Seen events, and select a Zone, are you able to turn on recording for any events, and then able to turn on notifications for those events?

To contact Support:

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

Hi MplsCustomer, thanks for your fast and complete reply. My issue has been resolved!  So where I thought removing the camera from the Google Home app and then to add it once again should resolve the issue, this wasn't the case, as a full factory reset was in this case indeed required in order to be able to retrieve all the event detection notification settings in the Home app.

I must admit as well, that perhaps due to my enthusiasm, I forgot to turn on the 30 day history setting, but I can't even remember having seen that option in my previous camera configuration attempts using the Home app.

So, just now I completed the factory reset, recreated the detection zone and activated all the event detection notification features. Now, the camera is working as it should, with all Nest Aware related features available, including facial recognition.

This topic can be resolved/closed as far as I'm concerned! Thanks!
