Currently have the nest indoor cameras with the nest app and receive notifications. I have heard that the floodlight and doorbell will only work on google home app. Got my indoor cameras on the google home app but do not receive notifications like I do with the google nest app. If I make the purchase of the floodlight and doorbell would I not receive notifications? Phone is iPhone.
Thank you!

Oh, hold on a sec...you're saying the legacy style indoor camera, when attached to the home app does not send notifications. That's something I'm not sure about. Someone that has one of the older cameras will have to chime in here. I'm using only the new style battery cams.
In any case, no worries on the *new* outdoor and doorbell cams. They will definitely send notifications. If you intend on buying the Battery Doorbell (the one released in 2021), do make sure you check out the threads about cold weather performance in case it gets cold where you live. There are a problems....

I appreciate the help! I’m guessing my indoor cameras are to old. Which isn’t a big deal as long as I got notifications on my phone/tablet for the outdoor cameras.

Generally speaking, yes you should get notifications from any of the camera on your phone (via the app...not test message, in case that's what you're looking for). I've got the outdoor cam (battery ) and the doorbell (battery), and they both notify via the Home App on all devices where I'm running that app (and that includes phones, and several tablets).
I'm going to guess that you don't have specific notifications set up in the app? You need to click on events in the settings page, and set up zones and specific triggers that you want. That may be turned off by default for the indoor camera (battery), since it would typically create a lot of notifications.

We receive notifications from our one new Google Nest Camera (Battery) from the Google Home app, and notifications for all of our older Google Nest cameras and doorbells from the Google Nest app.
