Google Nest Battery doorbell camera doesnt register with Alexa

Nest Google Battery Dorbell (newest) does not work with Alexa or the Echo Show 15.

I have the Google Nest Skill enabled and both my indoor Nest camera and outdoor Nest cameras register with Alexa app as a camera device and will stream live video to My Echo Show 15 and 8. But the battery doorbell does not register as a device or stream. It will on my Google hub. This is supposed to be brand new and paid a lot more for this then Ring and blink and all my blink camers work great streaming indoor and out but not Google doorbell. I even pay yearly subscription fees for Google one, you tube red, and Nest. I expect it all to work like Amazon products do where I also pay subscription fees for prime and blink.

Sorry to tell you but what you bought like the rest of us did, “ain’t” Nest.  We bought Google Nest. Meaning no Nest app no Alexa no integrations no app that doesn’t look like a cartoon.  Alexa does not work with Google Nest cameras, doorbells, floodlights etc.  return it and buy the Nest doorbell not a google nest one if you want Alexa.  If you look around on here you will see a lot of nope can’t do that with Google nest.

@User123456 Nest .. do you have plans on fixing this or are you not going the "do no evil" per your code of conduct; which I just found out has been removed

Hi Sid007, there are SO MANY features missing when you buy the new Doorbell because it does not work with the NEST app.  I ended up returning it and purchased a used Nest HELLO doorbell on Ebay and I'm very happy with it.   Another thing the new Doorbell can't do is there is no way to view the camera from a computer (Pc or mac) browser.   For me this was the deal breaker.  Google says this feature might be coming sometime in 2022.  I'm not will to wait for something that will take that long or never happen at all.

Really hoping for Google to acknowledge and fix this

They won't be fixing this.  It's a strategic change of direction to migrate all new Nest product to the Google Home App.    They say there are trying to get parity with the Nest App in terms of features over time, but of course that's yet to be seen.

I guess it's kinda like the blink cameras won't work with Google hub. Why not work with competitors Echo Show does its own prime and Googles YouTube video. With skills the technology is open. Sorry Google you were late to the game but you're hurting the consumers and yourself. It you can't beat them join them!!!
