Google Nest Cam Model: G3AL9 no QR code, wont add to nest app or google home app????

I have a Google Nest Cam Model: G3AL9, no QR code on the model, box long gone.  I tried adding with last 4 of serial number and it freezes on the final page for both Nest and google home app on IOS.  Any solutions here?

same issue over here: https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Cameras-and-Doorbells/Nest-app-doesn-t-recognize-camera/m-p/3...

they closed this form, and zero response from google.  Would be pretty sad if you wont let you add a $200 camera just because a QR code was thrown out....

@bigdaddy2020

The QR Code should be next to the power cable on the Google Nest Outdoor Camera.  Has yours rubbed off?  The only sample photo I could find has the QR code smudged.  Below the QR code should be a 6-character alphanumeric Setup Key that you can use instead of scanning the QR Code.  Above the QR code should be the serial number.AndroidPIT-Nest-outdoor-security-cam-3962-w1600.jpg

I’m having this exact same issue and the model shown in the picture above is not our model. Ours is the model G3AL9 and does not have a QR code on the bottom and the charging port is a different shape. This is pretty ridiculous since the only way to access the “3 days” of event history is in the Nest app, it’s not available in the Home app.  Mine is added in the Home app, but I can’t set it up in the Nest app without the QR code, which apparently only existed on the packaging.

I think they screwed up by putting the QR code on the packaging , I ended up buying a new model because the old one is now junk without the packaging

What’s the new model? Or did you just buy the same one again?

Get this!! I just bought two of the outdoor battery nest from eBay with the packaging And still, no QR code anywhere on the packaging or the camera… What is this part of googles agenda? I mean all the footage goes to the cops anyways unless you opted out which then you won’t have nest aware

The QR code is on a piece of paper in the original packaging.

The footage absolutely does not go automatically to the cops.

There never was a QR code on my camera and Nest doesn’t recognize the alphanumeric code or serial number

We bought a Google Nest Camera (Battery) in Sept. 2021. It had a QR Code printed on a removable sticker that was affixed to the glass front of the camera, as shown at about 0:55 in the install video provided by Google Nest here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/10919314?hl=en
