Google Nest Cam (wired) stopped working

JillGower

Hello,

I've had this camera working forever: Google Nest Camera GJQ9T, and it just quit on 4/1/24!  No April Fools here!  I've tried to reset it, but no lights flash. I have removed it from my Google Home, and tried to re-find it but it appears to have kicked the bit-bucket.

Now that it's removed from my Google Home, I cannot submit for warranty checker, nor submit a claim!  Please help!

Thanks,

Jill

@JillGower

The reset button on the indoor 2nd gen Google Nest camera is located on the bottom of the camera head between the power cord and the camera head. Is that what you used?

Yes, I followed those instructions.  No lights when I held the reset button.  It appears to be dead.  How can i get a replacement?  Do you need my serial number?

@JillGower

I'm just another Google Nest customer; we also have a 2nd gen indoor camera, but we don't have it on a lot.

You could try contacting Support:

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

Thanks @MplsCustomer !  I contacted them and getting replacement under warranty!
