Google Nest Camera connected to another account...

I moved house recently and setup a new 'home'.  I just tried to plug in my camera and it says I was connected to a different account and needed to be removed.  I bought this camera new so figured it must be thinking it was connected to my hold home. I deleted the old home, but the same problem happened again.  So then I did a factory reset, but was only able to get the white light to turn on for a few seconds before it turned off.  I then tried to add the camera again, and it still says connected to another account. I know I'm the only one whose ever had this camera, but can't figure out how to remove it from my account, as it does not show up on any of my device lists.  Now that the factory reset does not work.. I'm not sure what to do.  Can someone help?

Did you possible set it up using a different account than the one you're now using? That's really the only plausible explanation I can think of to be honest.
