Google Nest Doorbell Wired Gen 2 SDM API support

Previous discussion was closed, and was told to open a new thread if it is still an issue.

It is, and I would still like to know when this is supported. I have 14 more days to return my doorbell and if this isn't supported I won't be purchasing google devices again.

In a connected (smart) world it is ridiculous to ship a product without API support that other products have.

Since I am new to this community, what exactly is this forum? @Brad are you a google employee? Do you have communication with google employees? Or is this really just a sounding board for people frustrated with Google to make it feel like there is a support path?

As there is no current information available if this feature will become available, I am afraid I don't have an answer. I was also on that thread, I’ll be moving away from Google devices in the future because of this as well. Ridiculous that it’s been radio silence from Google on this topic.
