Google Nest Doorbell (battery) release button stuck

Hello, I have a Google Nest doorbell (battery) camera and I removed it from the outside mount for charging as per normal using the tool to release it. However, when attempting to place it back onto the mounting bracket outside I noticed the mounting release button was stuck inside the camera. So I cannot mount it back outside now. Is there something I can do to fix the release button?

Hi @ImTheHoneyPot,

Thanks for reaching out to the community!

I understand it can be frustrating when the mounting release button gets stuck on your Google Nest Doorbell (battery). This is a common issue, and there are a few things you can try to fix it:

  1. Gently Apply Pressure: With the camera body facing down, try applying gentle but firm pressure on the release button with your fingertip. Sometimes, a little nudge can dislodge it if it's stuck due to dust or debris.

  2. Use a Thin Tool (Optional): If gentle pressure doesn't work, you can carefully try using a thin tool like a straightened paperclip or a SIM card ejector tool to nudge the button out. Be very careful not to damage the button or surrounding components.

If the button remains stuck,
