My nest doorbell will ring at the doorbell and connected google home inside will announce the doorbell has rung. However, my indoor chime does not always chime with the doorbell ring. Testing it a few times, I see AC voltage at the chime between trans and front while idle. The AC voltage stays during some pushes of the doorbell but with enough pushes, it'll sometimes go to 0 and cause the chime to go off.
I thought this was an app chime setting so I tried changing my setting from electronic at 5 seconds to 10 seconds. Then tried it at 1 second duration and even as non-electronic. There doesn't seem to be a difference. I thought maybe the app takes time before the setting is updated so I've tried waiting 2-3 minutes in between setting changes to try the doorbell and no change.
I've double checked the chime wiring and it seems fine - front going to nest chime connector white and other white from nest chime connector going to front. The grey going to trans and other grey connected to original trans wire. Everything seems to be connected tight without any loose wiring.
Is there anything else I can check or do? Or do I need to rely on the google home announcements and phone notifications from this point on?

Hello,
I have the nest doorbell (wired) and started after I replaced the internal battery since my doorbell was shorting out when it was being rang (solution to that issue based on other posts).
Thank you for any help you can give!
