Google Nest Doorbell not ringing on the Google Nest Hub (2nd gen)?

Hi, I have had the Google Nest Hub setup for sometime now. I have just this week fitted the Google Nest Doorbell (battery) to the front door. I can view the front door with the doorbell. I can change the chimes on the front doorbell, as far as I can see the doorbell is working perfectly. I can also ask the Google Nest Hub to view the front doorbell and that works. I can talk through the doorbell via the Hub, BUT, I can seem to have any alerts come up on the Hub or any chimes? I've looked through YouTube and I believe I have every setting on that should be, but I would never know if someone is pressing the front doorbell if it wasn't for getting the alerts on my iPhone at the moment?

I need help please and thank on getting these two working together so I can hear the doorbell chimes through my Google Nest Hub.

@Willee

Under Settings for your Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) in the Google Home app, under Visitor Announcements, have you enabled visitor announcements?

Hi, yes I have. Still no announcements or chimes or anything.

I don’t actually have “Visitor announcement” to activate. I have notifications though.

Sorry, I have found the Visitor Announcements button already. I have turned it on and off a few times to see if it resets itself or something?? But, no. It's still not chiming or ringing at all on the Google Nest Hub.

They are definitely connected, because I can view the front door camera via the Hub, but it's just not getting the alerts.....

@Willee

Is your Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) in the same Google Nest "home" as your Nest Hub?

"If you have multiple homes in the Home app, you’ll only receive a visitor announcement from the speaker or display in the home a visitor rings the bell for."

If your Nest Hub is set to Do Not Disturb, you will not get visitor announcements.

Beyond that, I don't know why you are not getting them.

Okay, I'll have a look when I get a chance to. I do think they are in the same home though. But I also know I made two. So maybe I 'll need to delete the new one I made for the doorbell and just keep the doorbell and Hub in the one home? It may be creating an issue having the two?

@Willee

If you want to get "visitor announcements" from your doorbell on your Nest Hub, they need to be in the same "home". And all the devices in a "home" need to be on the same Wi-Fi network.

And a Nest Aware subscription applies to only one "home".

If you're going to delete a "home", you first need to remove any devices in that "home".
