Google Nest Video Doorbell - Unable to Setup

After receiving a new wifi router, I've had to configure the device onto new wifi. I've pressed the button on the back to factory reset (5sec). Waited for light to flash. Opend Google Home app -> add new device (Nest Camera. Scanned QR code on back of doorbell, plugged power in, waited for chime and white light. but no following blue light. App just says "Something Went Wrong".

I've reset the device 5x time now.

Pressing the reset button for 5 seconds only performs a Restart. You have to press the reset button for at least 12 seconds for a Factory Reset. Scroll down on the page below to see the Factory Reset instructions:

Hello everyone,

@LeiberumV, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. How's it going with your Nest Doorbell? Were you able to set it up after following the steps from the link shared above? In case you haven't done it yet, you may follow the proper steps below to reset it:

For Nest Doorbell (battery):

  1. Locate the reset pinhole on the back of your Nest Doorbell.
Tip: The reset pin on your Nest Doorbell (battery) is located below the USB port on the back of the doorbell.
  2. Insert and hold the pin (you can use an unfolded paperclip or a thumbtack):
    • At 10 seconds, the status light will blink yellow four times, and you’ll hear a countdown tone.
    • At 12 seconds, the status light will be steady, solid yellow while the doorbell starts the factory reset, and you’ll hear a confirmation tone.
  3. Release the button. Your Nest Doorbell will restore to its factory settings.
  4. After the factory reset, your Nest Doorbell will appear as “Offline” in the app until you remove it.
  5. To remove it from the app, open the app, then tap Settings Nest settings icon Remove device Confirm.

I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.

Regards,

Emerson
