Google battery camera saving non events to phone

Is it possible with the new battery camera to save non events to my phone?
So if something happens ie it creates an event of a person then stops that event but “incident” happens after camera decides that event has finished  can I save a new clip and save to phone and then email to authorities?

We have had the new Google Nest Battery Camera since September and are unable to create manual clips on this camera (unlike on all of our other cameras) because manual clips are done in the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com website, while this new camera is supported only by the Google Home app.

So far, we have not been able to find a work-around for this missing feature.
