Google camera won’t connect after factory reset

Hello

Recently we got a new router and our Google outdoor battery cameras stopped working. I brought them in the house and factory reset them then removed the cameras from Google Home.
Now with the Google Home app I can not get them reconnected. When I reset them it did sing a song and flash yellow but now it’s blinking solid white really slow. I only have them plugged into the wall not on there mount.
I also tried to connect them to the Nest app too and they will not connect. It’s like they are searching for them and can’t find them. I did reboot my phone I also turned it to airplane mode and I rebooted the router but I don’t think we are even getting to that point yet.
please let me know what to try. Thank you

I have the same problem as you. I did the exact same thing. Did you do it? Tell me how. Thanks.

When I plugged it into the magnet mount the light turned green but I still can’t get it to connect.
when I figure it out I will post it here

thank you

@Joshbiz

If you're getting a green LED status light, that means your factory reset was not successful.  You should be getting a flashing blue light indicating it's ready to be set up (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9268073).

My experience is that it is sometimes difficult to get Google Nest devices to actually complete a factory reset.

You could try a factory reset again, until you get the sequence of events described in the instructions below (scrolling down to the factory reset instructions):

https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9252162

(The 2nd gen battery cameras (we've had one for over 3 years) CANNOT be installed in the Google Nest app.)

So after I held down the factory reset button I had to hold down the button in the front and it turned the blinking light in the front blue and I was able to connect it.
thank you for your help

Are you talking about the doorbell? There’s no rest button on the camera only on the back and I’m having trouble with my outdoor camera

I followed the instructions on the link the camera doesn’t flash blue only yellow

@EnclaveRes

I'm just another Google Nest customer, but my experience is that it is sometimes difficult to perform a factory reset on a Google Nest camera or doorbell.

Your post does not indicate which camera you have, so all I can suggest is to carefully follow the "factory reset" instructions (not the "restart" instructions) for the camera that you have, and try until it works.
