Google indoor Nest Security Camera 2nd Gen will not blink blue for start-up

Hello,

My camera was stuck with a green LED after unplugging and replugging it back in. Did this a few times and no change, so i decided to try a factory reset. After waiting a minute~, i went though the setup steps again through the Google Home app on android. After plugging the camera back in after the factory reset, the LED blinked white a few times and went blank. No blinking blue LED for the set-up process and the app cannot find said camera. I tried this process twice and still no change.

Can you help me? Thanks!

What do you mean your camera was "stuck with a green LED"? That's the normal status light when the camera is operational (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9268073?hl=en&sjid=7581259708406687107-NC#zippy=%2Cgoog...).

Did you follow the "factory reset" instructions here, pressing the reset pin on the bottom of the camera head between the power cord and the camera neck for at least 12 seconds?

Yes, I'm aware that the green LED is what i want but I was away from home for an extended amout of time, came back and the camera has a green LED but was not connected through the app and could not see the status of it at all. Even after i unplugged and replugged it.

I did follow the instructions for a factory reset, now i cannot get the blue LED to show for the normal setup procedure.

Ah, I see. It seems pretty odd for a camera to simply disappear from the Google Home app, and for the status light to still indicate it's working, and then to refuse to factory reset.
