my google nest hello door bell quit working. We purchased a 2nd generation nest wired door bell. we are unhappy with the new one. the camera field of view is smaller, it doesnt offer the coverage as hello does. Also we are not able to view this camera in the nest app. the google app is very clunky and cumbersome. i am planning to return this door bell. I am able to still find the Hello camera online. will this camera still be supported?
i also read nest aware will be phased out in 2024. with a credit back to users once this happens. how do we qualify for that?
i have 4 nest camera's, 1 door bell, google max, nest aware, with 3 sets of door/window sensors. will this all still be compatible with one another after april 2024.

Hello, I'm an end user like you. And like you, I still prefer the Nest Hello and NEST App over the newer doorbell camera and the Google Home app. Google is slowly migrating the Nest App features to the Google Home app but it is taking a long time. I ended up purchasing a used Nest Hello on Ebay about a year ago to replace my broken Nest Hello and it is going strong.
As for the rumor you have nothing to worry about. The ONLY thing google discontinued is the old DROP CAM line of cameras. All the others for the time being (Gen 1 and Gen 2) are still going strong. They are even providing a way to migrate the Gen 1 cams to the Google Home app. But don't do it just yet until more features are brought over. Here is the link that talks about it...
