I changed wifi router and did a factory reset, because it would not connect.  Still unable to connect it with startup

Do you have a mobile?  Take it outside and stand by the doorbell.  Try 2.4 and then 5G.  More often than not Everyone says to do a factory reset.  But you never have to do that because those who tell you that do not know enough about IT and Networking.  If you have a wife router called Netgear, and a device has to be on 2.4 wireless, Netgear does not always handle the switch over very well.   If you have too many 2.4 low end devices like Rain Bird irrigation, Feit outdoor smart plugs, etc, too many can cause the router to drop other 2.4 devices.  But that does not happen a lot.

Oh and Greg, sometimes different types of mobile devices are easier to work with.  For example, my Android phone puked at the Rainbird when setting it up.  So I set it up with my IP ad and then from then on used my Android.

Hi folks,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay. Please give these steps a whirl:

  1. Ensure that your camera is within 15 - 20 ft (4 - 6 m) of the Wi-Fi router.
  2. Make sure Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are both turned ON on your phone or tablet.
  3. Turn OFF mobile/cellular data.
  4. Reboot your router. Most routers just require that you unplug the power source and then plug it back in to reboot.
  5. Reboot your camera by removing the power cable, then reconnect it.

I appreciate your help, @sterlinghawk.

Best,

Jenelyn
