Googlenest doorbell

Is the Google Nest Hello wired doorbell the same as the Google Nest 2nd gen wired doorbell in the UK? If not, which is newer & what are the differences?

Also I know I can't view the doorbell camera with an Amazon Echo or Dot, but can I make it alert me of someone at the door...i.e use it as a chime or to talk to person at the door?

Hello bobbyb2b,

Thanks for posting here in the Community. The Nest Hello Doorbell is an older version while the 2nd Gen Nest wired is newer one which was released last year. With the 2nd Gen Nest Doorbell wired or Nest Doorbell (battery) you can view the live video, talk to a person and will alert someone at your door using Amazon Echo Show, or Dot. Check out this link to Control Google Nest products with Amazon Alexa.

Here is the link to know more about the difference between the Nest Hello and 2nd Gen Nest Doorbell.

Let me know if that helps.

Best,
Edmond
