Hello, I have my own plug-in transformer with sufficient AC voltage and amperage. I would like to use this to power my google doorbell. Do I need to add an inline resistor and if so what value? Thank you.

I'm running my Nest HELLO doorbell directly off of a transformer and there is no resister there. So I think you are good to go.

It may depend on your plug-in transformer. We have an OhmKat Video Doorbell Power Supply for one of our Nest Hello doorbells and it works fine. OhmKat claims theirs is specifically designed to work without a chime connector.
