I've had a Nest Thermostat for years, just purchased a doorbell (battery), and (2) cameras. I had to update software, and was able to connect the Thermosat to Google Home. When I try to connect the doorbell, it says this needs to be done on Nest App. When I try that, it says it should be installed in Google Home! How do I get this device installed, neither App will allow it to be installed!

On similar posts, customers caught between the Home app and the Nest app when trying to install were able to resolve it by updating their Google Home app. I don't know if that will help, but you could check whether you need an update.
