Hello doorbell will not reconnect

Corey823

I installed my hello doorbell and everything was working fine.  I got a new router and tried to reconnect the doorbell and nothing works.  All of my other devices reconnected to new wifi network.  Doorbell will not reset to factory settings.  Nothing happens when I press the reset button.  Light is white when plugged in, but no light when unplugged.  Reseting does not work.  Please help.

Exactly the same problem for me too. Was told I need to buy a new doorbell! That doesn’t seem right as was working fine before I changed my network.

Hi there,

Sorry for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I just wanted to make sure that your issue is addressed. I am terribly sorry to hear that you have had such a hard time with this! I would love to look into this issue further and help find a solution for you. First off, I have some questions I’d like to ask you.

  • Do you still need help with this issue?

  • What troubleshooting steps have you done thus far?

  • Have you tried to restart your device if you haven’t already?

  • If the restart didn’t work, have you tried to do a Factory Reset? This would be a last resort option, but would clear out issues and the device would essentially be ‘brand new’

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Best Regards,

Brad.

Did you try putting the metal plate on the back of the doorbell?

Thanks for asking, but I sent the doorbell back.  It was bricked.  Would not even perform a factory reset.  Got a new one yesterday and it works fine.

Hi Corey823.

I am terribly sorry to hear that your Doorbell was bricked! I am glad that you were able to get a replacement though. Glad the new one is working for you! Since this initial issue has been resolved, I will be locking this thread as that is the process. Thank you for your feedback all, and If you have further issues, please create a new thread and we can address it then.

Best Regards,

Brad.
