Help reconnecting Nest Indoor Wired Camera after factory reset

I did find the instructions to factory reset my camera. This was mostly due to me moving and getting a new router. After I'd factory reset it, I'd assumed that I'd just go through the same process as before to connect the camera to the new wifi router. The issue now is that it isn't showing up when scanning for new devices- not on the Nest app or Google Home. I checked if either app had updates that needed to be installed and this was not the case. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello KodaJayy,

Thanks for posting in the Community and for sharing all the steps you’ve tried to fix the issue. Let’s check it out.

A few questions: what is the model of the Nest indoor camera? After the factory reset, what is the color of the status light? Was there an error message during setup?

Here’s a handy guide to help you set up and connect Nest cameras.

Keep me posted.

Best,

Lance

I ended up having the issue resolved. I was attempting to connect with the Nest app primarily and only tried the Home app once, as I thought the Nest app made more sense. However, apparently the Home app is required for 2nd gen Nest cams. Not quite sure why it didn't work the first time though. Thank you for taking the time to respond! 😁
