Help with doorbell reconnect. Says attached to another account. But it’s my account

My ring doorbell disconnected when I got a new phone. When I try to reconnect, it says the device is connected to another account. I can’t seem to reconnect and the other account is my account. I’ve tried uninstalling the device and reinstalling it and now I think I made the problem worse.
