Help with video scrubbing

Can someone please answer why my older nest cams in the old nest app can scrub video instantly with no breaks and the new google camera and app can’t? When searching history it goes black until you stop the video and wait for it to load and have no idea what was in between, it’s a joke. Why?

I have the same concern. If your going to make us use the google home app at a minimum it should do what the old nest app could do. I pay for best aware yet I don’t have the ability to review ALL the video footage like I can from the nest app.

Thank you for your feedback on this, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest cams in the Nest app like you may be used too. However, you can now use the Google Home web app to view your cameras and doorbells.

 

The new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support.

The web app besides doing nothing but show one camera at a time has nothing do do with the questions and concerns of this thread. You still can’t scrub and search your cameras like the old nest app and cameras. You can try and divert people’s frustrations with your adding a web portal which was taken away from nest users once we migrated 3 years ago and say oh look at us what we did. Why don’t you read these post and fix what customers are complaining about. Ring your competition even has this feature and the old nest cameras have it but Google can’t crack the code on this problem? Tired of all the lies from this company, you said nothing will change if you merge to Google home app, boy was that a lie. Quit making promises every year that all this will be fixed and do something.

If I still need assistance? You haven’t answered the original concerns. I am glad that for the last 3 years you have had the insight of what’s in store for the future but that doesn’t help the user’s frustrations of years of those broken promises. Now how about tackling the one quest of where is video scrubbing feature on the new cameras, that the old nest cameras and every other brand has?

This feature has been promised in the Google home app for 3 years that I know of so I don’t think Google gives a dam what feedback customers give. As soon as this feature stops with my older cameras and Google completes its move to the Google home App I will jump ship to RING as they have had this feature from day one. Keep screwing around Google and lose your customers, great plan.

I completely understand your frustration, but I am afraid as a Community Specialist, we simply do not have any form of ETA to provide if, and or when this will or won't become a feature once more. We will continue to mark this thread as a request for a feature.
