Home app is broken after last update

Anyone know a fix for the home app not loading and disappearing almost instantly from the phone screen? Cannot view event footage at all after the last google play store home app update.

After the last update my doorbell keeps saying not connected to Wi-Fi. Pretty annoying.

The home app and google nest cameras are a complete and utter waste of money. Total and utter garbage that simply don't work they're not worth buying whatsoever just complete crap in every way possible.

Thanks for reaching out.  A few questions: what phone are you using (Android or iOS)? Is the Google Home app updated? Have you both tried relinking the Google Home app? Using another phone will also help us isolate this.
