New to this, please be patient with my lack of knowledge. I recently installed a nest doorbell and could view it in the nest app. I added the Nest hub max yesterday and now the only video available to vies on the nest app is the hub video. Can I have multiple cameras available to view on the nest app? I’m not sure how I lost access to the doorbell video. I’m planning to buy another doorbell today and add it to the system, any suggestions to tie everything together would be greatly appreciated.

The only reason I can think of for why you can no longer see your (1st gen) Nest Hello Doorbell in the Google Nest app but you CAN see the camera on your Nest Hub Max is if your doorbell is installed in one Google Nest "home/structure" and the camera on your Nest Hub Max is installed in a different Google Nest "home/structure", and your Google Nest app is now connected to THAT Google Nest "home/structure". Another possibility is if you are logging onto the Google Nest app with a different Google Account than the one you used to install your doorbell.
You should also be able to see both your doorbell and the camera on your Nest Hub Max on the same screen on the home.nest.com website and on the home.google.com website, again as long as you are connected to the same Google Nest "home/structure".
The name of your Google Nest "home/structure" displays on the screen in the Google Nest app and in the home.nest.com website and the home.google.com website.

The same “Home” name is on both the Google Home app and the Nest app. Prior to yesterday I could view my doorbell camera on the Nest app, I added the Google Nest Hub Max yesterday and it’s operational with Google Home app and Nest app but somehow I lost the doorbell access on the Next app after the hub was added to my system.

I don't know of any explanation for that. Is it possible you have two Google Nest "homes", one ending in a space and one NOT ending in a space?
If you go to home.google.com or home.nest.com, what do you see?
If you select "Cameras" on your Nest Hub Max, does it list your Nest Hello Doorbell?
If you press your doorbell button, do you get a notification on your phone from the Google Nest app?
Did you somehow inadvertently remove your Nest Hello Doorbell from the Google Nest app?
If none of this helps to decipher your issue, you could try contacting Support, using the link and instructions in this post:

Hi folks,
@Newguy, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. For you to check if you have multiple homes, kindly follow the steps below:
1. Open your Nest app.
2. From the homepage hit the three lines / dots on the top left.
3. You'll see the Messages and Support in the middle and below that of your home structures.
4. In case you see multiple home structures there, try tapping each of them and check your Nest Doorbell.
Let us know how hot it goes.
I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.
Regards,
Emerson

Hello, thanks for the help. Unfortunately not even the Google Customer Support people could figure out what was going on. After giving them access to view my account they were at a loss too. They blamed the Nest app having issues. In other words pass the blame on someone or something else. Unfortunately that seems to be typical in today’s customer service. I had higher hopes for Google….. 🤷♂️

Hello Newguy,
I'm sorry to hear that. Let's see what's going on — could you share the case ID that you receive from our support team so I can take a closer look?
Regards,
Edmond

Hi there,
Thanks for the information. I just checked the case ID that you provided, and based on the case and the serial number for your Nest Doorbell, which is a 2nd generation Nest Doorbell that can only be accessed on the Google Home app, All 1st Generation Nest cameras and the Nest Hello Doorbell wired can have both access to the Nest App and Google Home App as long as your account is migrated to Google, but for all 2nd Generation Nest cameras and Doorbells, they can only be set up and viewed on the Google Home app on your phone.
Let me know if you have additional questions.
Best,
Edmond
