I have a new roommate I’m adding to my google home. How do I restrict his access to the camera in my bedroom?

@Rbabkoff

Google Nest does not provide any ability to grant access just to specific devices in the Google Home app. When you invite someone to join your Google Nest "household", they get full access to everything.

Is the work around to set up multiple households?

@Rbabkoff

You could, I suppose, set up separate Google Nest "homes", but then you'd need a separate Nest Aware subscription for each "home".  And judging from other posts in this forum, it seems people on the same Wi-Fi network still have some access to any Google Nest devices on that network.

Hello everyone,

@Rbabkoff, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. Restrictions for account access are not available and we don't have any news to share about applying this feature to the Nest app or Google Home app. Well take note of it and ensure that we'll learn from your experience as we continually improve our products and service. Rest assured that we'll take this as feedback. We'll learn from this to deliver a better process and experience in the future. Also, were you able to read the information and check the link that MplsCustomer has shared? Let us know your update.

I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.

Regards,

Emerson
