Nest Outdoor Camera Security Cord Replacement

About 2-feet of the "security cable" power cord has deteriorated and exposed the wiring of my NEST OUTDOOR (powered) CAMERA. Obviously I can't keep using it in this fashion. HOW DO I REPLACE THE "SECURITY" cord???

Google Nest does not sell any spare parts. If this happens to any of our Google Nest Outdoor Cameras, I think I'll clean up the corrosion, wrap each individual wire in electrical tape, and then wrap the set of wires in duct tape.

What a RIDICULOUS DESIGN. The cord...that has cracked up due to sunlight exposure CAN'T BE REPLACED. Genius .
