How do I set my Nest Doorbell to pick up animals?

We purchased this because our cat got out a week ago and we believe/hope he is coming in the night to eat the food we put out.  And something is using a litterbox that we put outside.  We want to set up the doorbell to capture animals on the history.  I am not sure how to do that.  There was nothing in history last night but we had a visitor that ate the food.

We have a Google Nest Battery Camera, but I think the setup would be similar. In the Google Home app, go to Settings | Events | Seen Events. If you have zones set up, select the zone; otherwise you should be able to select the camera's whole area. On that screen, you can turn on detection for People, Animals, or Vehicles.
