I try to adding new camera(s) does not work in Google Home.
wifi connection is done.
But before the end of the process :
get an error message "Something went wrong."

I have tested multiple factory reset, creation of a empty new google home account, setup under ios, Android ( samsung galaxy note ), change to another network.

Nothing work !

The problem seems to come from the addition of the camera in the Google Home account although the wifi setting is correct.

MFG camera : 03/2022

Can you check your server software or your Google Home app ?

Thanks

Hey there,

I am terribly sorry to hear that you're having this issue with your Nest camera! I'm sure it's frustrating, but I'm happy to look into this and see how we can help out. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. By doing this, it should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally.

Best regards,
Brad

Hi Brad, I'm IT manager,

your suggestion has been realized many times.

I tested and had the same problem with ios and android.

I even created a new Google Home account and nothing happened.

II'm not the only one with this problem, there are many posts on your site and on the internet.

Hi folks,

Thanks for your help, Brad.

We appreciate your efforts here. Let’s have a better look — a few questions: what types of Nest cameras do you have? What are the status lights of your cameras? How far are they from the router? Do you have an Android or iPhone? Do you have a mesh WiFi point? Also, what WiFi frequency band do you try to connect to (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)?

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

JT

- what types of Nest cameras do you have? G3AL9 SKU : GA01317-FR
What are the status lights of your cameras? White blinking and blue fix after wifi connection.
How far are they from the router? 1 meter
Do you have an Android or iPhone? I have tested both ios on ipad, ios on iphone, android on galaxy tab and android on galaxy phone.
Do you have a mesh WiFi point? One AP Ubiquiti U6-LR
Also, what WiFi frequency band do you try to connect to (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)? Both
the problem is not the wifi connection in my opinion, since the camera receives an IP address.

It is after the process where the program must register the camera in the Google home interface.

I have also created a new Google Home account and nothing work.

Do you have real suggestion to close the problem ?

Thanks.

Thank you for going through those troubleshooting steps! When you created the new Google home, did you properly remove the device from the previous home? Do you still need help with this? Please let us know!
