Is Nest ever likely to be able to sync with Hue and other products?

I chose Google Home over Alexa/Apple alternative, then decided to stick with it when adding doorbell and heating control but that lack of functionality among my other smart devices is frustrating. I’m looking to add some cameras but it’s got to the point I’m considering changing my entire system to an Alexa with ring or alternative. 

All I want to be able to do is turn on lights when the bell has been pushed. Instead I’m having to look at presence detectors etc.

Google, please invest time in extended routines more then turn on/off at time x. 

Triggering a light by a camera is a super relevant routine for any user
