Is the new Google Nest camera purely battery only or is the battery just a backup?

This is a pre-order so I am just trying to decide whether to buy.  The add is unclear to me as to whether the new coming Google nest Indoor/Outdoor camera is battery-only or wired with a battery backup.  If battery-only, how long before recharge?  Will it alerts when recharge is needed?

Sorry for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I just wanted to make sure that your issue is addressed. That is an excellent question! With the new Battery Nest Hello not being released yet, I can only suggest you check out the specs on the google store found here.
