I have two of these outdoor battery cameras on my property and when the battery gets low I just hook the charger up to them on a sunny day with an extension cord but both of them are positioned near enough electrical wires that I can have an electrician put outdoor outlets very close to them. Is there any difference between the outdoor cable and the charge cable they come with besides the length and the plug? I was looking at the specs on them and I don't need a cord that will run 15-30 ft if I'm going to put an outlet 3 ft away from it with an enclosure to keep it dry.

Hi Kostas,
Thanks for reaching out. The charging cable that came with your Nest Cam (battery) is indoor rated. Weatherproof cables are sold separately. You can check this article about Technical specs for Nest cameras and doorbells to learn more.
