Where can I find the latest camera software version? I have 4 cameras 1 is 1.71 and the remaining are on 1.69.

As customers, we cannot retrieve firmware versions for our cameras or other Google Nest devices. Google Nest decides when they push out the firmware updates.

Thank you... The funny thing is, I just checked my cameras again, and now I have 3 out of my 4 cameras on 1.71 and 1 on 1.69, opposite of what I had in the morning, so 2 of my cameras were updated today.

Google Nest must be pushing out the latest firmware update. There's nothing we can do about it.

1.71? this is a good sign that new firmware is on its way, hopefully for the better but we'll see!

Unfortunately, it isn’t for the better. I haven’t noticed even the slightest improvement in video quality, least of all for night vision.

Noticed last days the picture of the Doorbell flikkering, now checked and seen it has the 1.71 firmware. Picture quality is not better then with 1.69 and now is an new issue which cause video flikkering
https://youtu.be/eLFeA_JpBH0?si=g-6rQOfALeFgHfzw
So the "update" dont fixes anything, but ruined more.
1.69 night vision was not usable.
1.71 night vision stil not usable and on daylight the picture is flickering as you can see in the video.

I’m seeing the same problem on my doorbell cam, but it doesn’t flicker as quickly or often. In my case it APPEARS to happen at the start of the video.

Its Crazy, the best firmware was still 1.65, video Quality was PERFECT, then from the 1.67 firmware they cant fix it anymore, 3th firmware updates later and there are only more and more Bugs and no Fix on the terrible Video Quality.
Its Crazy, PLEASE google do an Rollback to 1.65. that was the best one firmware!!!!
Im happy that i dont buys nest cameras, that was the reason if i had seen the good quality on the Doorbell on 1.65 firmware, to replace my NVR and cams with Nest ones, but luckily i dont purchased them directly i waited with my old cameras for an fix which is 3 firmware s later not fixed.
I dont care about the Doorbell anymore, it rings when someone rings de door. And i have an notification on my mobile also.
Have 4 new reolink tracking cameras, (also on the front door, because the nest Doorbell is not usable as video Recording with that poor quality and flickering)
So use it simply as an simple Doorbell , where i have an notification on my mobile. And dont care about video Funktion anymore. Its hopeless to wait for an fix on it.

If the nighttime quality isn't horrendous enough, really enjoy the flickering constantly during the day as well. Well done Google.

Sorry, when was the 1.67 firmware released?
Really much users have problems with the video Quality from FW 1.67
Months later 1.69 released, still not fixed, much months later 1.71 released and there are more issues with the video Quality.
It alsmost one year? Or longer?
3 firmware`s with an video isusse, where the last one firmware dont fixed anything but brings one bug more ( flickering )
Google is almost one year on top of this.
Every one is waiting for fixes and we get more bugs.
Where is the problem to take the 1.65 firmware, mark it as 1.8 or something Higher (if downgrade is not possible) and push it to the devices and every one wil be Happy.
But now google is on top of this, and wil still push the 1.71 firmware to devices that are not upgraded yet?
If there is one more bug in the firmware why is google not stopping the Update to prevent the not upgraded devices?
Is it better to let them all upgrade (give them all that bug) and let them wait another months with the hope that the next firmware maybe fix it?

Hi Jennifer
I’ve just bought a nest outdoor camera and the night vision is poor , difficult to see faces at all
i tried turning off night vision as there is street light , and for a while it was clear and color , then it suddenly super Pixelated
futuremore , since I tried This and went back to night vision it has stopped recording events at night , at day it’s good
this is clearly a bad software
any advice ? And news on a fix

Hi @Jaso31,
Thanks for posting here in the community. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you.
I'd like to gather some information about the low-quality night vision you're experiencing.
I've also included a helpful article that might be useful: Night Vision video quality is poor
Please let me know how it goes.
