Lost Hex Security Screw for Google Nest (2nd Gen)

I just installed my Google Nest Doorbell (Wired 2nd gen).  Unfortunately I dropped the small hex security screw and lost it.  Any thoughts on how to get another one?  Thank you!

Since Google Nest does not sell spare parts, you could try contacting Support, using the link and instructions on the post below, to see if they'll provide you with a replacement screw as part of your warranty coverage:

Hello Deadaim61,

Checking in — did you get a chance to try the steps shared by MplsCustomer? If so, how did it go? Let me know if you need more help.

Thanks for the help, @MplsCustomer.

Best,
Edmond

Hi.  Yes I was able to reach them.  They recommended that I go buy a screw at a local retail store or use a paper clip.  I would like to get a screw but I do not have the size of the screw to buy.  Unfortunately the chat closed before I could ask for the size.  So I still need the exact size of the hex security screw for a wired 2nd Gen nest doorbell.

Hi there,

Thanks for trying. It looks like the size is M2.0x0.4 thread pitch, 3.5 mm length, with a #2 head diameter of 6.5 mm, but I don't think it’s a commonly available size in a typical hardware store. I would suggest trying to contact our phone support, but this time selecting the option to get a call instead of a chat.

I look forward to your response.

Best,
Edmond

I will try that tomorrow and let you know. Thank you
