Missing People Filter in Nest App

The ability to filter based on people has vanished from Nest App - my newest Nest Cameras are able to select this, but my doorbell has lost it's ability in the app to see this. 

Extremely frustrating and seems to be a common problem with no resolution - any help appreciated .
