Missing an event recorded on my camera

My daughter's car was stolen, and the only activity recorded was movement before and after the vehicle was stolen.

We've had a battery camera since Sept. 2021. It is plugged in and since we have a Nest Aware Plus subscription, it therefore records 24/7 even if it does not flag an event as such. But if we unplug it so it is running on battery power, it's not very good at waking up from "Idle" mode to detect and record events. So we're thankful it is plugged in and running on household current.
