I have a two Gen 1 wired doorbells on a single chime. One of the doorbells is dead (I've tried all of the troubleshooting), so I'm replacing it with a Gen 2 doorbell.
The Gen 1 puck has two 2-conductor wires, and both pucks are connected to the terminals, and each other using some provided connectors.
The Gen 2 puck has just one 2-conductor wire, and no "inter-connectors" were provided.
Am I able to mix a Gen 1 and Gen 2 doorbell on the same chime, or do I need to replace both doorbells? I could not find any wiring instructions for this scenario.

Thanks.

Customers in this forum keep asking, but I've never seen a mixed diagram like the one you need.
You'll keep your 1st gen 4-wire chime connector wired like it already is, and wire your 2nd gen 2-wire chime connector as shown in the diagrams below. Note that the second diagram, "Two Nest doorbells two chimes", is mislabeled and should say "Two Nest doorbells, one chime":

You may need a 16V 30VA transformer; like others in this forum, we had to upgrade a few years ago.
