Hi all,
Yesterday i purchased the google nest doorbell (battery).
Everything is working fine. I created a zone, notifications, ... .
On my wife's phone and my own i have a custom sound when someone pushes the doorbell.
However, on our nest hub there is only a message telling us there is someone at the door.
I would like to choose a custom sound. Is this possible? If not, can i turn up the volume of only this notification?
If the tv is playing and our hub is on a low volume we do not hear the notification.
Thanks in advance for any insight or help.

Google Nest does not give us the ability to customize "Visitor announcements" on our Nest Hubs when the doorbell button is pressed. And the volume of the announcement depends on the volume setting of the Nest Hub.

That is to bad, and, if I may ask: why is such a basic function not available? Do the Google engineers use this setup at home? I know you don't have an anwser, just a rethorical question.

It's been asked plenty of times I'm afraid, there is no answer. Google have just decided that's how it's going to be even though it's plainly obvious to every user that the notification should have it's own volume setting. Pretty ridiculous.
Makes you think that the "developers" don't actually use the system themselves or even test them out in real life settings.
