More than one person having access

My husband is connected to the nest but it wont allow me to connect with my email Address. How can we both have access.

In the Google home app, you go to "invite home member" Then you click the + symbol and add the person's email that they used to access home app.

Oh yeah, they need to accept invite in email after.
