My cameras not notifying me via phone

I attempted to connect my google nest camera (battery powered and wired) to Alexa echo.  I was able to do it but decided to undo it since it will not send a notification on the echo, you can just look at the camera from it but it will not notify you.  So I removed the camera from Alexa.  Now, Im not receiving notifications from the 2 cameras on my phone.  I reset and removed them from my "Home" and reinstalled it, changed zones, but still no notification.  I can view live feed and i see in the history that motion is being detected and saved but still no notification.  I hope somebody here can help!

Hey there,


Thank you for bringing up the concern you're experiencing, I would love to look into this further for you. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. This process should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally.

@Pjbacero It's us again. I'm bumping up this thread to ensure that everything is covered here. Aside from restarting it, you may try turning off and on your notification settings. Also, please check the notification permission of your Nest app or Google Home app from your mobile device's settings if it's disabled.
