Hi, @Pd50!

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand your Nest Cam (indoor) is offline. I'd be happy to help you with this!

To provide you with the most accurate troubleshooting steps, please answer the following questions:

  • What is the exact model of your Nest Cam (Indoor)? Here’s a helpful article about how to know which Nest cameras or doorbells you have.
  • When did this issue start?
  • Are you receiving any error messages in the app?
  • Did you set up the camera using the Google Home app or the Nest app?
  • How far is the camera located from the router?
  • What Wi-Fi frequency band are you attempting to connect to (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)?
  • Are there any other devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, or cordless phones) near the camera?
  • Have you experienced any recent power or internet outages?
  • What is the current status of the LED light on your camera?

In the meantime, try the following steps:

  • Internet connection: Verify if other devices in your home can connect to your Wi-Fi network. For instance, try accessing a website using a browser on another device. If you are using a mobile phone, disable cellular data and enable Wi-Fi before testing the connection.
  • Device placement: Ensure there are no nearby devices (such as cordless phones or microwaves) that could potentially interfere with your Wi-Fi signal. If you suspect interference, try moving these devices. For further details, please refer to this article: Troubleshoot Wireless Interference.
  • Restart camera: Restarting your camera can help refresh its connection. After the restart, allow a few minutes for it to reconnect, and then check the live video stream. If the stream is visible, your camera has successfully reconnected. For instructions, please consult this article: Restart or factory reset Nest camera or doorbell.

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,

Ana
